Responsibilities
Map the landscape of coding-first AI agents, competitor SDKs, and emerging open-source tooling; distill a differentiated wedge that plays to Vast’s strengths
Translate fuzzy research breakthroughs into an initial set of lovable developer workflows (agent creation, deployment, revenue sharing, usage metering)
Define success metrics that capture marketplace liquidity, model performance, and end-user ROI—and build the telemetry to measure them
Partner with BD to recruit lighthouse launch partners and supply-side agent authors
Evangelize inside and out: write public-facing updates, record demo videos, and present at developer events
Qualification
Required
5–10 yrs in product leadership with at least one zero-to-one software platform or marketplace shipped
Deep technical fluency. You can debate model architectures with research scientists, reason about GPU cost curves, and jump into a REPL to unblock a prototype
Customer-obsessed storytelling. Ability to synthesize user pain, market signals, and raw research into a crisp narrative and roadmap
Bias for action & intellectual honesty. You test hypotheses with scrappy prototypes and rigorously kill the ones that don't pan out
Credibility with the frontier-AI crowd. Past tours at OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Windsurf, Scale, Replit—or comparable—are strong signals, but not hard prerequisites
Preferred
Shipped developer-facing tooling (APIs, SDKs, CLIs) or run a two-sided marketplace
Hands-on experience with LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph)
Prior founder → you know how to grind, negotiate ambiguity, and own outcomes
