Senior Work Control Planner

CEIS | Government is seeking an experienced Work Control Planner to support operations and maintenance planning within a highly regulated facility environment. The role involves developing and reviewing detailed work packages and ensuring the safe and efficient implementation of various work activities while coordinating with compliance, safety, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and revise work packages, ensuring alignment with operational and safety requirements
Generate Integrated Work Documents (IWDs) and ensure all content complies with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with subject matter experts to write technically accurate and clear step-by-step work instructions
Estimate labor, materials, tools, and time needed to complete planned work
Review field conditions and interface with craft supervisors and engineering personnel to ensure proper work scoping
Identify and resolve work restraints, ensuring all permits and pre-job walkdowns are completed prior to work execution
Maintain documentation for job closeout, capturing lessons learned and improvements for future planning
Support maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to facilitate safe and efficient execution of planned activities

Required

Bachelors Degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
Strong experience in maintenance or operations planning, preferably within a DOE, DOD, or similarly regulated environment
Demonstrated ability to generate and manage IWDs or similar work planning documentation
Proven technical writing skills with an ability to translate complex procedures into clear, executable instructions
Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, compliance-driven environments
