Define and drive the strategic vision and technical roadmap of the data platform
Build and mentor engineering managers and teams, fostering collaboration and growth
Champion software engineering best practices, data architecture, and system reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical decisions
Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the data platform team
Qualification
Required
10+ years of software engineering experience
6+ years in technical leadership or management roles
At least 3 years managing other managers
Proven track record leading large-scale data platform teams
Strong skills in distributed systems, Kafka, Spark, BigQuery, AWS/GCP/Azure
Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance
Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills
Preferred
Experience as a senior leader/head of data platform at high-scale consumer tech companies
Familiarity with Machine Learning infrastructure
Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams in startups
