Responsibilities
Engage with Fuel Engineering Methods experts and end-users to understand the areas for methods and application improvement
Engage with Fuel Engineering Technology end-users to support implementation and feedback
Implement new modeling tools and techniques to enhance capabilities for nuclear fuel modeling and analysis
Apply advanced modeling and simulation to support product and process design optimization, safety analysis and licensing activities
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience
PhD in Engineering or related Discipline (e.g. Materials, Nuclear, Mathematics) or recognized equivalent required (Masters + relevant Experience)
2+ years of experience in the following disciplines - Nuclear Engineering/Physics Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Nuclear fuel thermal hydraulic analysis
Experience working with High Performance Computing environments with Linux-based systems
Understanding of Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification methods
Experience with modern programming languages such as C/C++, Fortran 95/2003, Java, Python, or C#/.NET
