Keye is a Y-Combinator backed startup focused on revolutionizing the due diligence process in private market mergers and acquisitions using AI. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing AI-powered features across the entire stack, contributing to both front-end and back-end development as well as DevOps.

Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development: Own and deliver AI-powered features end-to-end across with speed, scalability, and startup-level autonomy

Applied AI Systems: Productionize and scale robust agent workflows for real-world data, with fault tolerance and orchestration for high reliability; if you’ve built customer facing technology with RAG, Text-to-SQL, or vector search before, that’s a plus

DevOps & Infrastructure: Maintain CI/CD, scale cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker), and ensure observability/security

Data Science & Backend Engineering: Built robust data models and analysis workflows by integrating specific client requested analyses into our platform

Strategic Product Engineering: Collaborate with CTO/CPO on roadmap, architecture, and rapid iteration based on customer feedback

Ship: Launch a core product feature that uses AI agents end-to-end—design the DB schema, build the backend API, implement the frontend UI, and deploy it to production

Analyze: Launch a new analysis that a customer asked for with a quick turnaround

Harden: Productionize at least one agent workflow with fault tolerance, retry logic, and monitoring to handle real investor data at scale without downtime

Integrate: Upgrade CI/CD pipelines to enable quick deployments, automated test runs, and rollback safety

Optimize: Improve ingestion pipelines to reliably handle files with unknown schemas and reduce processing latency by at least 30%

Collaborate: Partner with the CTO/CPO in 2–3 customer feedback cycles to iterate on features and prioritize the roadmap

Required

4+ years building and shipping full-stack applications in production

Strong portfolio or GitHub with examples of complex, impactful projects (share links in your application)

Experience developing modern AI applications, including AI agents, and ideally past POCs with RAG or Text-to-SQL

Proficiency in: Backend: FastAPI (Python), Frontend: Next.js, DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, serverless deployment, Databases: PostgreSQL, Data: Warehouses & lakes, ML/AI Tools: PyTorch, Hugging Face, LlamaIndex, LangChain

Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment

Passionate about staying up to date with the latest developments in AI and technology

Preferred

Experience working in the fintech sector

An advanced degree in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence with a proven record of success in applying it (career and/or projects)

Experience as a previous founder and/or early stage employee at a technology company

Bonus skills: monitoring/logging, testing frameworks (Pytest, Jest), data pipelines (Dagster), CI/CD (CircleCI), messaging/queues (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ), Kubernetes
