They are seeking an Engineering Technician for Construction Materials Testing to perform field observation and testing during the placement of construction materials and to prepare reports documenting observations and test results.

Responsibilities
Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, and reinforcing steel
Preparation of reports documenting observations and test results
Communication with contractors and engineers to discuss observations and test results
Opportunities for advancement based on performance, work quality, ability to obtain NICET certifications, and ability to obtain post-secondary educational degrees
Qualification
Required
High School degree
Valid Driver's License
Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills
Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations
Attentive to detail
Interest in working outdoors on construction sites
Candidates must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outside
Possess ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification, or be able to attain within three (3) months of start date
Completion of APNGA Nuclear Gauge Safety Class with U.S. DOT HAZMAT, or ability to complete within three (3) months of start date
Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
Preferred
Prior experience on construction projects is preferred (2+ years)
