Responsibilities
You will lead and oversee the Special Procedures Department to ensure the quality of work
You will coordinate and prioritize the department workflow to ensure completion of work assignments
You will be accountable for Special Procedures Department functions and responsibilities
You will contribute to the effective management of the Department
You will consistently produce films of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric
You will follow established routine Special Procedures protocols
You will operate the fluoroscopy and digital equipment efficiently and effectively, demonstrate the ability to trouble-shoot equipment failures
Qualification
Required
Two years' experience as a Special Tech in a hospital setting
Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology or a military training program of equivalent standards
Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) with the Texas Department of State Health Services
Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) primary certification in Radiography – ARRT (R)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per SDH policy
Preferred
Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology
Post primary certification in Cardiovascular-Intervention Technology
