Senior Technical Program Manager - Software, AWS Center for Quantum Computing
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to support software development efforts within the Center for Quantum Computing. The role involves managing complex technical programs, collaborating with technical leads, and driving efficiency in hardware development through innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities
Identify opportunities where inhouse developed software can streamline our internal hardware and software workflows
Develop requirement documents that translate customer needs into software workable solutions
In collaboration with our software managers develop plans (including identifying resources) to develop our internal software platforms
Support the internal roll-out and adoption of these tools
Compile customer feedback and use this to drive incremental improvements of existing software tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
7+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
5+ years of experience interfacing with software/hardware teams in an academic or R&D space
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Master's or PhD in a relevant topic (computer science, math, physics, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to implement both agile and traditional ‘waterfall' project management practices
Demonstrated ability to dive deep in at least one engineering domain other than software
Experience in the application of machine learning and AI tools to improve or automate a design, production, or testing processes in an industrial context
Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, ideally based on Amazon Web Services
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with the layers of the quantum computing stack and the quantum devices lifecycle would be an advantage
