Responsibilities
Design and Develop Master Data Applications: Design, develop and support applications providing golden sources of data to the organization
Collaborate with Business Users: Work closely with key stakeholders both in the business and technology on a day-to-day basis to analyze data problems, design and develop solutions that solve business challenges
Enhance Tech Stack: Work with and improve our modern tech stack, building microservices deployed to the cloud (AWS) using K8s. Drive architectural decisions and discussions with stakeholder, gaining buy-in
Contribute to Firmwide Frameworks: Ensure the code base is highly supportable, future-ready, and performant without latency. Build re-usable components and contribute to firmwide libraries
Engage in Agile Processes: Participate in an Agile framework, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities to meet dynamic business requirements and provide Level 3 support globally
Qualification
Required
At minimum, seven years of experience in financial services
At minimum, three years of experience supporting listed and OTC instruments typical in a Global Macro strategy (Fixed Income, Credit, Rates, Equities, Futures)
At minimum, seven years of OO development experience (Java highly preferred)
Expertise with design and architecture (stateful reactive microservices experience preferred)
Experience leading strategic technical initiatives from start to finish and able to discuss the pros and cons of chosen architectural elements
Experience with relational databases
Experience with messaging systems (Kafka preferred)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience mentoring junior developers
Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
Preferred
Experience and knowledge of Cloud services such as AWS
Containerization and orchestration tools such K8s
DevOps methodologies such as CI/CD and build automation
UI development using React
Experience of Reference and Master Data Management in a financial services organization
Experience of in-house and/or vendor Security Masters
An interest in or experience of finance markets, economics, or mathematics
