Responsibilities

Providing professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects

Meeting with clients to determine objectives and requirements for structures

Preparing structure specifications, scaled drawings and proposals

Owning finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction

Reviewing junior staff's work for technical accuracy and providing technical guidance to other professionals and technicians

Performing quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects

Reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments

Leading a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects

Managing a small team of direct reports

Qualification

Licensed ArchitectNAAB-accredited degreeBuilding codes knowledgeConstruction document productionProblem-solvingCommunication skills

Required

Have a degree in architecture from an NAAB-accredited program or equivalent experience

Have seven-years of experience, including working on parts of major projects or multiple, moderate-sized projects, providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff, and reviewing others' work for technical accuracy

Possess an active license in good standing and demonstrate knowledge of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other relevant ordinances

Be proficient in production software and construction document production

Have a passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions

Have proven ability to successfully address challenging issues in a sound professional and business-like manner

Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
