Responsibilities

Innovating project approach to optimize safety, schedule and profitability
Mentoring junior engineers in applicable design software, technical engineering techniques, and professional development
Leading/Overseeing site grading and stormwater management designs
Leading/Overseeing the development of permitting documentation
Providing support for our clients during permitting and construction
Performing field inspections and compliance documentation
Leading a team of single- or multi-discipline professionals to ensure project success
Presenting designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, etc

Qualification

Required

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program or Bachelor of Science in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience
7 years of civil engineering experience, consulting preferred
Permitting experience required for land development and storm water management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
Strong CAD skills (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), MathCAD), Civil 3D or other Civil Grading Software, and strong knowledge of civil engineering analysis programs (e.g. hydraulic modeling, hydrologic modeling, pavement, etc.)
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Successful completion (i.e. passing) FE or EIT preferred
Strong knowledge in standard civil engineering techniques and procedures
