Responsibilities

Responsible for testing and certification of HEPA air filtration in laboratory equipment and in air conveyance systems, including, but not necessarily limited to, biological safety cabinets, laboratory fume hoods, and other ventilation equipment

Inspection services include troubleshooting and equipment repairs

Manage various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios

Responsible for lifting and carrying of testing equipment

Other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Science or Engineering related field

Should have a minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting and testing biological Safety Cabinets, laminar flow benches, and chemical fume hoods

NSF 49 certification or the ability to obtain certification is required

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills also very important

Lifting and carrying of testing equipment required for this position

Must be able to commute to project sites as-needed

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Adaptability and flexibility to manage various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios

Intuitive and creative thinker. Understanding of their surroundings and reason the services are being provided

A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and offers solutions when needed

Work as a team player

Ability to carry and climb ladders and being able to use hand and power tools

Be able to wear a respirator, safety harness and other safety equipment as needed

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check

Valid Driver's License is required

Ability to work independently throughout the greater Boston area is required

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree is preferred

Experience testing and certifying clean rooms, spray booths, and other specialized industrial ventilation a plus
