Responsibilities

Perform detailed QAQC of overhead and/or underground electric distribution projects

This work includes the review of field notes, drawings, specifications, and estimates as defined by the client's scope of work document

The QAQC individual may be responsible to provide direction, training, supervision and guidance of other individuals in this job group of equal or lower grade as directed by the Manager

Review designs to ensure compliance with client's construction standards

Review construction drawings for neatness and design accuracy

Review of Compatible/Macro Units within client's GIS/WMS systems

Review engineering calculations (pole loading, pole boring, guying, transformer sizing, conductor loading / sagging, etc.)

Review other associated paperwork such as Bill of Materials, Pole Boring, Pole Loading, guying documents, along with other requirements deemed necessary by clients

Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and Industry/Company standards covering the assigned work

Review any major documentation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions

Assist in design development to meet project schedules

Identify design issues and provide constructive feedback and training to the design team

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering/Design or related field

10+ years of experience in distribution design at senior level preferred

Working knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to the QA/QC technical matters in Electrical Engineering, GIS systems, CADD
