On-call Senior Archaeologist

Responsibilities
Development and implementation of budgets, research designs, work plans, schedules, analyses and reporting
10 or more years' experience of progressive experience in the archaeology and/or architectural history of Oregon and the surrounding region
Knowledge of state and federal regulations, environmental review processes, and compliance requirements (e.g., Section 106)
Meet the Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualifications for Archaeology, History, Architectural History, or Historic Architecture
Previous project experience working on federal (e.g., BLM, USFS, NPS, ACOE, BIA) and state lands (e.g. State Parks)
Regional experience that would allow for immediate permitting with the local offices of federal agencies (e.g. BLM, USFS, BOR, etc.) and obtaining other permits as needed
Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, peer-reviewing, public speaking
Excellent interpersonal and management skills
Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner, with a track record of meeting deadlines and budgets and producing high quality reports
A commitment to safety
Familiarity with digital data recordation and management
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
Abide by Company policies and procedures
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduate degree (M.A. or Ph.D.) from a United States accredited university in anthropology, archaeology, architectural history, or historic preservation
Meets the requirements for a ‘qualified archaeologist' in the state of Oregon as defined in ORS 390.235

Preferred
Demonstrated marketing success and client retention
Previous experience in following states: OR, AK, CA, NV, WA, ID
Previous experience working with utility clients
Technical expertise in lithic analysis, ceramic analysis, or underwater archaeology
