Responsibilities
Bring high proficiency in iOS development, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, including planning, risk management, development, testing, rollout, and maintenance
Hold yourself and your team to the highest standard of engineering excellence and prioritize quality over quantity
Design and implement features as part of Square's top banking initiative in support of a seamless banking experience
Lead the technical vision for iOS, client API interactions, and the future of our modern tech stack, shaping how our team builds and maintains scalable, high-quality mobile experiences
Build into our backend orchestration service
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other mobile and backend engineers
Foster a culture of technical excellence, mentoring engineers, improving team processes, and driving architectural improvements
Influence Square's iOS community, contributing to shared frameworks, developer tooling, and engineering best practices
Qualification
Required
12+ years of iOS software development experience
Motivation to build beautiful, intuitive products for the banking industry
Strong communication skills and a strong desire to deliver a great product
A deep sense of customer empathy and an interest in the team's product direction
