Child Psychologist
Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join their team at the Alliance Multi-specialty clinic. This role involves providing psychotherapy and psychological testing for children and adolescents experiencing various behavioral and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities
Provide psychotherapy (family, individual, and play therapy) to patients ages 12 and under and their families
Conduct psychological testing
Provide psychology and psychiatry services for families whose children and adolescents, ages 2 to 18, are experiencing behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional challenges
Possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development
Work with children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care
Utilize a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests
Understand the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan
Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop outstanding leadership skills
Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and maintaining a positive experience for all children and families
Qualification
Required
Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited institution
Training in child growth and development
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop outstanding leadership skills
Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and maintaining a positive experience for all children and families
Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, will consider Provisional License if close to licensure
American Heart Association CPR or willing to obtain prior to start
Preferred
Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care
Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests
Understanding the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan
Prior experience in a pediatric setting
