Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive care to acutely ill general medicine inpatients
Performing procedures for the general medicine patient population
Working nights and weekend nights
Attending at least one divisional meeting a month
Qualification
Required
Completion of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Physician Assistant Program or MSN/DNP
Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is required, along with CDS (prescription) and DEA (narcotics) licensure
Current BLS Healthcare provider and ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment required for Medicare ordering purposes
At least one year of related experience at Johns Hopkins affiliates or other academic teaching hospitals
Ability to work independently in managing clinical, consult, and procedural services
APPs are responsible for, and are able to perform up to the standard patient volume caps set by the division
