Responsibilities

Lead plan production for highway design projects

Review work, including QA/QC of plans and specifications

Mentor and train staff

Understand roadway design, hydrology, hydraulics, structures, and traffic-related items

Develop strategies and teaming arrangements

Handle three to five direct reports

Qualification

Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseRoadway design softwareDOT standardsAnalytical skillsCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsMentoringTeam management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within four months

7-11 years of experience in roadway design projects (DOT projects preferred)

Proficiency in roadway design software (MicroStation & AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office

Knowledge of DOT standards

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred

Relationships with DOT preferred
