Program Coordinator
The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. They are seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee related projects supporting a long-term research initiative, guiding project managers and technical staff to meet program objectives.

Responsibilities
Facilitates information flow between program members, Principal Investigator (PI) or Department Head
Provide recommendations to the Government regarding contractor labor utilization, contractor workflow, and contractor operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, overall improvements to support of this effort
Coordinates the decision-making process between all contract personnel
Coordinates and conducts in-house contract personnel actions and provides to contract personnel guidance and assistance as needed
Oversees project budgets and materials acquisition related to research under contract to ensure successful project completion
Aids in coordinating program monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Tracks the progress of programs or projects for research performed under contract to ensure milestones and benchmarks are met
Provides support in writing protocol-driven research proposals, animal use protocols, human use protocols, technical reports, final reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required plus 5 years' experience OR Master's degree plus demonstrable experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required
General awareness of federal budget processes and fundamental principles of project management
Solid Interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, build and maintain teams, and identify and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet deadlines
Working knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, proposal/project tracking, and data analysis software
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance, including background check and drug screening
All staff required to enter the labs shall maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation); or equivalent
Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs
Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods
Ability to climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
Preferred
Prior experiences in the life sciences strongly preferred
