Responsibilities
Evaluating and stabilizing patients who may be in crisis while in clinic
Conducting diagnostic interviews and making treatment recommendations for patients referred to you by their PCP
Support in providing timely diagnosis to children with developmental concerns
Providing brief, solution-focused therapy when appropriate
Psychotherapy
Consulting with PCP and other care team members as needed
Provide supervision and training to interns and post-doc caregivers
Qualification
Required
Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or health-related field
Current State of Alaska license as Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) (or ability to obtain one)
2 years of experience providing pediatric psychology services
Strong foundational knowledge of comprehensive mental health issues in both theory and practice
Knowledge, training, and experience utilizing assessment techniques and evidence-based interventions for specific populations
