Responsibilities
Analyze autonomy performance metrics such as disengagements, success rates, and scenario outcomes to assess system readiness
Identify trends, anomalies, and failure modes using large-scale driving data
Translate data insights into actionable recommendations that guide engineering priorities and improve system behavior
Partner closely with autonomy, safety, and operations teams to align on success criteria and validate improvements
Help shape Zoox’s strategy for safe and scalable deployment by ensuring autonomy decisions are grounded in rigorous analysis
Qualification
Required
Experience driving decision-making at various levels in an organization
Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or Scala
Proven ability to define metrics and build scalable analysis pipelines to evaluate complex systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights
Preferred
Experience with geospatial data analysis
Experience with Spark or large-scale data analysis
Familiarity with or exposure to experimentation platforms
Experience working with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or transportation systems
