Responsibilities

Leading or supporting engineering teams to deliver well-coordinated, high-quality designs for civil or environmental engineering projects
Coordinating with, executing and monitoring all aspects of multidisciplinary projects with varying technical complexity
Preparing documentation for design projects, including design criteria, technical letters, memorandums, reports, drawings, detailed design packages, and cost estimates
Providing strategic and/or planning services to clients
Directing and reviewing work products prepared by junior engineering staff
Project management duties include executing project scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client expectations
Establishing client relations and involvement with marketing, contractual, management, and design meetings
Championing QA/QC procedures
Executing internal personnel training
All other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program
Or Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
A Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering may be substituted for 1 year of experience
Minimum 3 years (4 years preferred) of environmental engineering experience, consulting preferred
Successful completion (i.e., passing) of FE or EIT preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience overseeing construction and an understanding of construction methods and procedures
Available for travel as necessary (approximately 10% travel)
Strong knowledge of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and coworkers
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills
Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)

Preferred

4 years of environmental engineering experience, consulting preferred
Successful completion (i.e., passing) of FE or EIT preferred
