Responsibilities

Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and directing schematic designs for GDOT, local government, and other projects around the region

Using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices

Interacting with task leaders, team members, clients, and other consultants

Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria

Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others

Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeProfessional Engineer LicenseMicroStationGeopakBentley ORDTDOT ProceduresLarge Scale TDOT ProjectsTechnical Training ExperienceAdvanced Software SkillsEffective Communication

Required

Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering

Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Tennessee preferred as starting point)

5+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak (or Open Roads) and TDOT procedures

Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners

Preferred

Experience with Bentley ORD

Experience with Large Scale TDOT Projects or Programs

Experience and relationships with various TN cities and other agencies

Advanced skills in specialized software programs
