Responsibilities

Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure. Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations
Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork. Work is completed before submitting it
Demonstrates the ability to consistently produce and evaluate screening and diagnostic mammography for radiological interpretation
Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well-being of the department. Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members
Demonstrates competency through ongoing CBE's. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE's. Selects proper imaging protocols and follows departmental procedures

Required

Associate's Degree in Allied Health
Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
Radiologic Technologist, ARRT, State Licensure Certification in mammography required within 12 months of employment
Experience Clinical Allied Health Radiology
Must have strong verbal and organizational skills
Ability to interact with patients in a fast-paced environment
Mammography certification is required within 12 months of employment within this modality
Required to meet the minimum continuing educational requirements established by the state of Ohio
Required to maintain ARRT and ODH licensure
Adheres to the Practice Standards defined by the ASRT
