Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative products, from concept to production. Lead in the design, prototyping, and testing phases
Utilize CAD software and prototyping tools to create detailed product designs, 3D models, and prototypes for testing and evaluation. Analyze existing product designs and propose improvements to enhance functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness
Lead in designing and conducting product tests to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
Maintain detailed records of design specifications, test plans, and project progress. Prepare technical documentation, including drawings and specifications
Lead cost analysis and feasibility studies to optimize product designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality
Assist and support the development and implementation of quality control processes to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance
Identify and lead opportunities for process improvement and innovation, contributing to the company's culture of continuous learning and development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, manufacturing, quality, and marketing, to ensure the successful launch
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
Demonstrated prior strong problem-solving skills and a passion for product design and development
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and other engineering tools
Demonstrated prior engineering experience in product experience and design
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards personal and professional development
Goal oriented with effective ability to prioritize
Ability to devise innovative solutions and troubleshoot issues efficiently
Focus on user experience and usability in product development
Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and manufacturing teams
Proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Preferred
Prior experience with refrigeration and/or climate control strongly preferred
Preference for individuals with experience working in a global environment
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, generally minimal
