Responsibilities
Perform and review month-end close processes for investments, consolidation, and deposits
Prepare adjusting journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure GAAP compliance
Contribute to financial reporting deliverables, including schedules for SEC filings and board reporting packages
Analyze new accounting pronouncements and support cross-functional implementation
Participate in regulatory reporting (quarterly Call Reports, FR Y schedules, etc.)
Collaborate with auditors, updating SOX narratives and responding to audit requests
Drive process improvements across accounting and reporting functions
Partner with teams across treasury, operations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timely submissions
Lead special projects tied to regulatory or accounting developments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience (public or public company)
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, investment accounting, and consolidation
Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters
Detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, and adaptable to regulatory changes
Preferred
Master's degree
CPA
Financial services clients/industry experience
Prior experience in regulatory reporting (banking or FS environment)
PeopleSoft exposure
