Required

Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Art or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated professional experience as a practicing artist or illustrator
Demonstrated teaching skills with pedagogical excellence
A strong portfolio showcasing personal work that reflects contemporary studio practices and/or industry-relevant work
A clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, to convey clear, well-articulated information, with the ability to understand, speak, and write in English professionally
Excellent problem-solving skills with intuitive reasoning and the ability to analyze information/events while applying accurate judgment to solve problems that are both routine and complex
Flexibility in a swiftly changing environment
Takes initiative while actively seeking opportunities to develop within a collaborative team environment
Operate learning management software and other technological tools utilized to facilitate content creation, communication, and planning
Embrace and foster Liberty University's mission and strictly adhere to policies, representing the university in an exemplary manner

Preferred

Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level
Proficiency in traditional and/or experimental media (e.g., drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media)
Familiarity with current trends in art theory and practice
