Responsibilities

Lead our structural design and engineering group in western Pennsylvania with development and delivery of structural assignments
Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload
Provide structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
Serve as Project Manager on a variety of structure related projects
Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
Direct project staff and sub-consultants
Serve as liaison between client and firm
Execute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design work
Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field
Hire, train, and mentor entry level and junior level structural engineers

Qualification

Bridge design experienceProfessional Engineer (P.E.)PennDOT experienceCivilStructural EngineeringCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering
Ten (10) or more years of bridge design experience
Excellent communication skills including proposal development
Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Pennsylvania
Experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), PennDOT Districts 10-0, 11-0, 12-0, the City of Pittsburgh, and Allegheny County

Preferred

Masters degree in Structural Engineering
