Responsibilities
Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end data solutions that align with enterprise data architecture and business goals
Develop scalable frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and delivery, ensuring they meet security, governance, privacy, and compliance standards
Champion the adoption of modern architecture patterns, including data mesh, data products, and event-driven designs
Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to implement and optimize solutions for performance and cost
Promote best practices for creating reusable, modular, and scalable solution components
Provide technical mentorship to junior architects, data engineers, and solution developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and propose effective, scalable solutions
Partner with analytics, product, and governance teams to ensure solution designs meet both business and compliance needs
Participate in design reviews and architecture governance forums to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends related to cloud-native data solutions, recommending enhancements to existing architectures
Support the evaluation and selection of new tools, technologies, and platforms to drive innovation and efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
7 to 10 years of experience in data solution architecture, data engineering, or data platform development
3 or more years of experience designing solutions in cloud environments, preferably AWS
Proven experience delivering large-scale data solutions supporting analytics, BI, and/or AI use cases
Strong understanding of cloud data architectures, distributed systems, and modern data design patterns
Proficiency in designing solutions for batch, near-real-time, and streaming data processing
Knowledge of core AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Kinesis
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivery
Preferred
AWS certifications in Architecture or Big Data specialties preferred
Experience working in the retail, consumer products, or related industries is preferred
Familiarity with ingestion tools like FiveTran and transformation frameworks such as dbt Cloud is a plus
