Responsibilities

Assist in managing multiple H&H studies in support of Land Development Projects
Proficient in reviewing project requirements to determine and prepare models for the analysis
Performs hydraulic calculations and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel
Assignments require the investigation of multiple variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions
Determines additional information that is needed from internal clients and coordinates with them through the H&H PM to obtain the needed data
Makes effective decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given
Communicate effectively with all internal LJA personnel involved with the project
Assist the H&H PM in the preparation of scopes and budgets
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials
Assist in the preparation of drainage impact analyses, and FEMA Letters of Map Change requests

Required

A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required
Certified Engineer-in-Training is recommended
3+ years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design, FEMA Letters of Map Change, and conveyance analysis
Proficient in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, and GIS
Experience in advanced H&H modeling, such as HEC-RAS Unsteady and/or 2D modeling is a plus
Strong report writing skills
