Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to assess their current data governance maturity and identify gaps
Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and processes tailored to client needs
Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models
Design strategies for data quality management, metadata management, and master data management
Provide actionable recommendations for improving data accessibility, security, and compliance
Support clients in aligning data governance initiatives with broader business goals and regulatory requirements
Communicate progress, risks, and findings to clients and internal leadership
Mentor junior team members and foster their growth in data governance and analytics expertise
Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for additional client engagements
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in data governance, data strategy, or related fields
Proven track record of designing and implementing data governance frameworks in diverse industries
Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data quality, metadata, and master data management
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance standards
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering client value
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
Ability to travel to client sites 30 to 50%
Preferred
Advanced degrees or certifications in data governance, data management, or analytics are highly preferred
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.) is a plus
