Senior Network Administrator

Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. The Sr. Network Administrator will lead the development and maintenance of network communications, utilizing knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to design and install networks while ensuring their efficiency and security.

Responsibilities

Leads various Tier I and Tier II service desk duties
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and other network systems
Supervise and mentor junior network administrators and service desk personnel
Perform network performance tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
Conduct network testing and evaluation to identify and eliminate issues and improve efficiency
Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies
Manage and support firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and other network hardware/software
Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
Monitor network usage and performance using appropriate tools and generate reports for management

Required

Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies
Familiarity with network monitoring tools
Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage service desk operations
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
At least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area
IAT Level II Certification
Experienced with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Must have active TS/SCI

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Experience working in federal or defense environments
Knowledge of DevSecOps, containerization, and automation tools
Industry standard technical and network certifications
