Computer User Support Specialist

Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. The Computer User Support Specialist will provide Tier I and Tier II helpdesk support while contributing to the design and implementation of high-quality operating system components.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for end users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues
Gather and analyze technical data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and propose and implement effective solutions
Assist in the design and implementation of operating system components, ensuring performance, reliability, and security
Work closely with project leads and engineering teams to support system integration and deployment efforts
Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Understand and apply knowledge of file systems, memory and CPU management, compression algorithms, and device drivers
Support and maintain systems across multiple platforms and hardware architectures
Document support procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in user support and systems administration

Required

At least 2 years of in-depth experience
IAT Level I Certification
Must have active TS/SCI
Familiarity with file systems, memory/CPU management, and hardware components
Experience supporting a wide range of IT assets and end-user platforms
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience working in federal or defense environments
Industry standard technical certifications
