Safe Kids Worldwide Senior Program Associate

The Senior Program Associate will align program activities with the Safe Kids Worldwide strategic plan, coordinate injury prevention programs, and serve as a primary contact for grant programs while collaborating with various teams to disseminate child safety information.

Responsibilities
Develops and implements project time lines
Coordinates injury prevention programs and initiatives in accordance with the organization's mission, strategic goals and objectives
Develops expertise in multiple areas of child injury prevention to ensure sound program development and implementation
Conducts program-based research on child injury risks and effective interventions to support development of implementation plans
Summarizes research findings and information on evidence-based practice in written reports
Collaborates with the Programs and Research department to monitor and evaluate Safe Kids programs; analyzes program data and presents information in various formats, e.g., written reports, PowerPoint presentations, in webinars and in meetings
Coordinates Safe Kids’ webinars to provide essential program information and trainings to the network
Develops grant guidelines, requests for proposals, and coordinates review of grant applications and awards
Coordinates grant monitoring and evaluation, and collaborates across teams to develop monitoring and evaluation tools
Prepares written program reports for sponsors, partners and Safe Kids leadership
Communicates effectively with the Safe Kids network and provides ongoing technical assistance to domestic and international members
Develops educational resources and tools for grant programs and initiatives, and content for web properties based on program research and injury data
Collaborates across department teams to ensure injury prevention information is disseminated accurately and effectively to internal and external audiences
Develops content for program materials and web properties to ensure injury prevention information is current and relevant
Develops presentations to promote programs, demonstrate impact and deliver key safety messages
Responds to requests from general public and provides information about child injury risks and prevention
Supports and participates in the organization’s global childhood injury prevention conferences, meetings and events
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and diversity awareness in all interactions
Partners and collaborates with team members in multiple departments to achieve goals
Provides organizational support as required by other departments
Demonstrates initiative and seeks opportunities to expand and grow
Provides feedback to others and is receptive to others’ ideas and opinions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Experience with program implementation and monitoring/evaluation (Required) Or
Master's Degree in Public Health, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Health Education/Promotion
3 years Related work experience in public health, injury prevention or program implementation fields required
Demonstrates ability to independently implement and evaluate educational/community-based programs
Experience manipulating and summarizing quantitative and qualitative data
Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and report writing skills
Culturally sensitive individual that takes initiative and responsibility of assigned tasks and projects
Detail-oriented individual with the ability to work effectively, independently and with a team, in fast-paced environments and communicate at multiple management and staff levels
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Knowledge of public health models and multifaceted public health programs
Experience In Injury Prevention And Grant Implementation
Experience in international program coordination and implementation a plus
Experience working with and communication effectively with program and funding partners a plus
Experience with online reporting systems and creating evaluation tools preferred
Demonstrates injury prevention knowledge in road safety, home safety and/or play safety a plus
Bilingual skills a plus
