Global Trade Compliance Associate

ST Engineering MRAS is a pioneer in the production and assembly of complex aerostructures, and they are seeking a Global Trade Compliance Associate to support business units in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The role involves providing expert guidance on trade requirements, conducting audits, and collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate compliance and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

Conduct periodic logistics audits of ACE/AES filings for accurate export documentation
Assist in the creation and maintenance of new employees and annual employee trade compliance training
Collaborate timely and efficiently on trade compliance subject matter with internal and external stakeholders
Support export license submittals, track export license application status, maintain an export license database to satisfy record-keeping requirements and audits
Execute weekly audits of returned hardware for proper Harmonized Tariff Codes and correct valuation of duties and taxes
Work with technical experts to determine export jurisdiction and classification of technology and hardware
Complete denied party screening and acceptance for international visitors and travel
Participate in international business meetings to ensure compliance with applicable export policy/license(s) and business policy

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 2 years of relevant compliance experience required
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, candidate must possess a high school diploma and at least 6 years of Supply Chain, logistics, and/or compliance related experience

Preferred

Supply Chain or Business degree
Familiar with import and export regulations (ITAR/EAR), customs brokerage, freight forwarding/logistics, or global trade controls and integrating cross functional teams
Experience with ERP system (SAP preferred)
Proficient in MS Excel
Experience in developing and delivering training materials
