Cardiac Sonography and Echocardiography Technologist - FT - Days - Up to $15K Sign on Bonus - JDCH
Memorial Healthcare System is dedicated to providing exceptional care and teamwork in Imaging Services. The Cardiac Sonography and Echocardiography Technologist will perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics while ensuring patient safety and quality service.

Responsibilities
May have to travel to satellite locations to perform diagnostic procedures
Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary
When ordered, prepares and administers ultrasound enhancing agents (UEA) and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes in status as thorough comprehensive preliminary report of study data to Physician staff
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound imaging program
Accredited Program: Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
One (1) year of experience working in an IAC accredited institution for Adult Echocardiography
In lieu of one year of experience, will accept credentialed new grads (within 1 year of graduation) for Adult Echocardiography
One (1) year of experience imaging congenital heart defect and surgical repairs in an IAC accredited institution for Pediatric Echocardiography
In lieu of experience, will accept new grads (within 1 year of graduation) for Pediatric Echocardiography
Must obtain credential within six (6) months of starting the position
An appropriate credential in Echocardiography: Adult Echocardiography Registered as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) (AE) from the American Registry for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI)
Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Pediatric Echocardiography Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) from the American Registry for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
