Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will develop financial reports and models, support long-range and annual planning, and enhance analytical storytelling to identify trends and opportunities across the organization.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain detailed financial reporting and analysis for assigned areas of the business to identify issues, trends, and opportunities
Support month-end close and forecast process, inclusive of accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Support long-range planning, annual planning and monthly forecasting process and develop reporting and models based on business needs; Enhance the company’s analytical story-telling through volume, price, mix analysis (VPM)
Support multi-entity, category and customer structure through partnering across the finance team to provide required analytical support
Ad-hoc reporting, special projects and other department support as needed
Act as a subject matter expert for the implementation and on-going maintenance of the company’s EPM system
Develop and deliver financial training to cross-functional teams
Document departmental policies and procedures, as requested

Required

Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of related experience in finance, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods or retailer environment
Financial modeling, forecasting and scenario planning
Proficiency across P&L, cash flow and balance sheet; treasury knowledge a plus
Knowledge of manufacturing financials, inclusive of sales, trade, cost of goods sold and SG&A
Cost and General accounting a plus
Proficiently skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and modeling techniques
Strong proficiency with MS Office Tools, especially Excel
Proficient with ERP, EPM, and/or manufacturing systems
Ability to work independently on a wide variety of projects
Understand basic fundamentals of supply chain management and production
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to transform sales and plant and/or operations activity into financial data and reports (i.e. dollars and cents)
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and understand financial reporting and data
Ability to apply financial acumen to a plant environment
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Limited travel (less than 10%) is expected with this position
The employee will be required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
The employee must be comfortable spending time in a plant environment
