Responsibilities

The Internal Traveler Program is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health

Internal Traveler positions are:

Compensated competitively with other traveler positions

Available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, and

Are offered in 13-week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks

$2,500 Incentive Bonus for first 13 week assignment

Opportunities are available for Respiratory Therapists in the Internal Traveler Program

We are seeking a competent clinician with moderate level knowledge, assessment, and therapeutic skills for respiratory conditions

Qualification

Registered Respiratory TherapistAcute/Critical Care ExperienceBLS CertificationNBRC Specialty CredentialAttention to Detail

Required

Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program

12 months of acute/critical care Respiratory Therapy clinical experience

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required (new graduates must obtain within 90 days of hire)

Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required

American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required

Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills

Attention to detail and ability to write legibly

Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs
