Responsibilities
Perform field service operations to resolve both routine and complex technical issues
Install, commission, and maintain high-voltage substation equipment (69kV–550kV)
Supervise contractors and electricians provided by the company or customer
Conduct field testing (SF6 leak detection, gas analysis, timing, power factor, contact resistance, etc.)
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-voltage equipment
Troubleshoot and repair equipment using advanced test tools
Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and make technical recommendations
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at all times
Travel up to 80%, working in varied environments and non-standard schedules
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
5+ years of hands-on experience in high-voltage substations and equipment (>69kV), including supervising installation, testing, and commissioning
Proven experience working with SF₆ circuit breakers
Experience working with power utilities, substations, and transformers
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Familiarity with operating test equipment such as CB timers, power factor testers, TTR, CT testers, and Meggers
Knowledge of Windows applications
Authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
