As a Geotechnical Engineer I, you will gain hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering by assisting in the design and investigation of various structures, collecting and interpreting data, and supporting project planning.
Environmental Consulting
Responsibilities
Assist in the investigation and design of building foundations, earthen structures, and roadways
Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods
Assist in preparing detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports
Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
Perform geotechnical laboratory analysis at our on-campus laboratory
Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports
Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
Perform site inspections under the supervision of senior engineers
Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
0-2 years of relevant work experience
Strong calculation skills
The ability to interpret work plans
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen post offer
Preferred
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, particularly with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
CAD experience is a plus
