In this role, you will support the development, design, and testing of components and systems for advanced nuclear reactor projects, working closely with various engineering teams to drive product development forward.

Responsibilities

Developing mechanical designs of hydraulically operated equipment, valves, and various nuclear plant components in CAD (SolidWorks)

Creation of component level manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings

Preparation of engineering documentation including design specifications, test plans, and procedures

Coordinate cross-functionally between mechanical, electrical, and analysis teams to drive the design process

Create and execute test strategies based on system requirements, support hands-on testing and troubleshooting

Support technicians during fabrication or test setup and assist in resolving issues

Review customer specifications and drawings; participate in customer meetings and technical discussions

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Design or Test Engineering experience

Working knowledge of hydraulic systems

Familiarity with metal in engineering applications and common manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, welding)

High proficiency in CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred), engineering drawings, GD&T and related standards

Experience or exposure to test development, testing, or lab work

Ability to thrive in a work environment with evolving requirements and limited prior designs

Ability to work cross-functionally

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Attentive to detail while maintaining proper perspective

Curious, adaptable, and creative problem solver
