Koala Health is a veterinary pharmacy committed to providing excellent healthcare for pets. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in the retrieval, processing, and fulfillment of medication therapies while contributing to the development of operational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Assist pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribers

Follow up with patients as needed to clarify questions relating to and provide updates on their orders

Perform data entry of valid prescriptions

Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy

Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications

Fill exception trays with appropriate medication

Work daily with the Operations team to ensure the right medications are put in the right pouches

Transition orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control

Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items

Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes

Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time

Aid the Operations team with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing

Clean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas
