Responsibilities

Apply systems thinking and take a holistic approach to solve problems, analyze and design systems, considering the interdependencies and interactions between various components
Lead and manage systems engineering lifecycle efforts surrounding: Stakeholder and operational analysis, Requirement identification, decomposition, and management, Functional decomposition and modeling, Logical system architecture development and modeling, Physical product definition, interface management, and change control, Design integration and testing, System verification and validation, Concept of operations development and modeling
Develop and maintain system behavior models using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools within established Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) frameworks
Lead the identification and monitoring of technical risks and the development of risk mitigation strategies
Support value engineering activities including cost analyses, economic feasibility assessments, and cost reduction opportunity identification
Write and review engineering documentation, reports, and communicate technical details and project progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Execute systems engineering processes within X-energy's quality management framework
Work across engineering disciplines to ensure effective integration of system components and subsystems
Perform work in accordance with X-energy quality assurance procedures to ensure engineering products meet required standards
Always maintain professional demeanor and behavior in all forms of communication
Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Required

Bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering, or other engineering related discipline from an ABET accredited institution required
Experience and/or knowledge in the following areas: System Lifecycle Processes (ISO 15288), Operational & Stakeholder Analysis, Requirements Management, System Design & Interface Management, Design Integration & Testing, Verification & Validation, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Tools and Methods & Product Lifecycle Management Systems - e.g. Teamcenter PLM, Cameo, Capella, Genesys, SysML, and DOORS, Systems modeling and simulation, Interface control and management, Configuration management and change control, Technical risk assessment and management
