Responsibilities
Supervising approximately five to eight Investigators conducting investigations pertaining the subject matter of the assigned division within the assigned geographic region
Guiding Investigators with their caseloads, reviewing reports and investigative activities, and leading small groups conducting investigations
Independently conducting investigative activities, and working well with superiors, peers, subordinates, facility staff, and all others
Ensuring that OSI investigations are thorough, timely, and fair, as well as compliant with all relevant policies and laws
Working with Investigators on special operations, such as surprise inspections, parole absconder details, and monitoring operations
Reporting directly to an Assistant Deputy Chief Investigator, who is reportable to the Deputy Chief Investigator for the division
Qualification
Required
At least four years investigative or law enforcement experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Knowledge of the applicable laws
Highest levels of behavior including personal integrity and ethics
Fairness, character, judgment, attitude, and respect for and ability to work with others inside and outside OSI
Appropriate licensure and certifications (including being or becoming a peace officer qualified to carry a firearm)
The ability to travel
All applicants must pass background checks
Preferred
Knowledge of the subject matter is beneficial but not required
