Janssen & Spaans Engineering (JSE) is looking for a Road Design Senior Project Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on engineering excellence in roadway projects, including design, planning, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Civil Engineering and will be responsible for managing project documentation and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Design Build and P3 projects
Create plans ensuring geometric calculations conform to required code and standards
Model road designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, BIM, or GeoPak, InRoads, Guide Sign, and AutoTURN
Ensure AASHTO codes, INDOT design manual requirements, and design standards are followed
Supervise and train technicians [and PEs (•for licensed P.E.)]•
Assist supervisor in development of plan sets and details, as well as project team meetings
Develop project specifications, provisions, and estimates adhering to client requirements
Meet deadlines and cost targets
Manage required project documentation, reports, and minutes
Maintain Professional Engineering registrations (•for licensed P.E.)•
Establish and uphold client relationships
Communicate with clients regarding updates and necessary adjustments
Accept additional responsibilities as trainings progress

Required

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
10+ Years' Experience in related field
In-depth knowledge of AASHTO and DOT standards
Skilled in MicroStation, BIM, and Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Preferred

Licensed PE in Indiana
Design Build and P3 knowledge
Department of Transportation project experience
