Responsibilities

Research and test novel and proposed firefighting tools and techniques
Develop internal standards and processes to continuously improve the safety of Tesla products
Support the creation of emergency response documents, focusing on firefighting and high-voltage system response for vehicles, energy products, and robotics
Bring engineering expertise to multidisciplinary groups, including non-technical members
Impact policy internally and within the industry on emergency response issues related to Tesla technologies

Required

Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Fire Protection, or equivalent experience
Fundamentals in thermal, mechanical, and electrical engineering
Ability to interact collaboratively across a variety of groups
Practical, hands-on, can-do attitude
Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time

Preferred

Firefighting and emergency response experience a plus
Lithium-ion, automotive, or grid-scale energy storage experience a plus
