The selected individual will be responsible for the growth and success of roadway and transportation design, planning, and related services within the area, including team management and performance, business development, client relationships, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Providing strong leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to an existing exceptional Transportation Team

Further develop and mentor members of the Transportation Team

Team performance (production, profitability, quality, staffing, etc.)

Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout Northwest Florida including FDOT and multiple Cities and Counties

Identify business opportunities and lead the successful pursuit of roadway / transportation design projects

Directly manage projects and oversee project managers on various projects

Work closely with other Halff leaders and manage resources to successfully workshare across the company on multiple projects

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

At least 10 years of progressive experience with FDOT Roadway / Transportation Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida

Recognized leadership and existing relationships with transportation clients within Northwest Florida

Strong local municipal client connections

Ability to lead a project, and supervise technical staff

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Client interaction and development, project production, and staffing

A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
