Compendium Federal Technology is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Illustrator to create, edit, and maintain detailed technical equipment illustrations for publications. The ideal candidate will utilize various sources to produce high-quality visuals that adhere to Government specifications and standards, involving both collaboration and independent work.

Responsibilities

Create, edit, and maintain detailed technical illustrations using CAD software, adhering to Government-provided specifications and style sheets

Develop illustrations from photographs, engineering drawings, existing illustrations, or physical inspections of equipment

Collaborate effectively in a group setting or work independently on assigned tasks

Provide a portfolio of relevant technical illustrations during the application process

Required

5+ years of experience creating technical illustrations in a professional environment

Proficiency in CAD-based software such as AutoCAD or IsoDraw

Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for image manipulation

Experience using GOTS and COTS software applications

Strong ability to interface with clients, resolve graphical specifications, and address issues through problem-solving

Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours

Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)

Able to lift up to 15 pounds

Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language

Execute tasks independently and work as a team

Learns and memories routine tasks

Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
