The Community Group operates eight Community Kids Place programs, providing enrichment opportunities for students. The Group Leader role involves creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children, planning academic enrichment activities, and serving as a mentor.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable experience for children and families in TCG's after-school and summer programs
Prioritize the care, safety, and well-being of children within the group
Create a physically and emotionally secure and enjoyable environment for children to thrive
Plan and implement academic enrichment lessons in 10-week project cycles
Encourage active participation in all activities, helping children realize their full potential
Serve as a positive role model and mentor to enrolled children
Assist in maintaining and updating children's health, safety, and emergency records
Maintain a flexible attitude and support Site Coordinator/Program Managers/ Director in immediate tasks
Actively participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, workshops, and ongoing training
Fulfill all required certifications
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

CPR CertificationFirst Aid CertificationSchool age childrenBilingual (English/Spanish)Creative personality

Required

Minimum of 18 years old
Must possess the qualifications required for their positions in accordance with regulations
Must complete CORI, SORI and fingerprint scan in accordance with regulations set forth by the Department of Early Education and Care prior to employment
Experience working with school age children (5-14 years of age)
Evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment
Evidence of immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella
Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification within two months of hire

Preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
Creative and fun personality to implement curriculum and activities
