Responsibilities
Day-to-day implementation of school-based Counseling sessions
Participate in the identification of at-risk scholars who may need informal counseling
Report on Counseling progress for Trimester Progress Reports and IEP Meeting Progress Reports
Develop and Implement Social Emotional Learning curricula to be used in classrooms, school-wide
De-escalate behavior and follow up on scholars in crisis
Collaborate in the design of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Implement, maintain, and progress monitor efficacy of BIPs
Qualification
Required
You have completed a Master's Degree
You hold a valid New York State Education Department Certification in School Counseling
You have experience with a behavioral assessment tools
You have prior experience working in a school setting (School Counseling experience required)
You have background in counseling and crisis
You are passionate about learning
